i think you know (chapman) it’s not the end it’s not the end of everything and you pretend that you don’t know but you begin to let it go what are you so afraid of? what are you waiting for? what do you think you’re made of? i think you know the things you’ve seen the things you’ve seen won’t go away and in between the truth and lies that’s where the old inside dies what are you so afraid of? what are you waiting for? what do you think you’re made of? i think you know i think you know standing at the water’s edge close your eyes and jump on in jump on in what are you so afraid of? what are you waiting for? just turn around and go what do you think you’re made of? what are you so afraid of? what are you waiting for? what do you think you’re made of? i think you know i think you know i think you know

New Car 04:10
new car (dane/chapman) i get a new car every morning drive it to work most every day and if i spill my tea or coffee i know the stain will go away in my new car that i didn’t pay for like a movie star the ones we all adore i start my new car every morning people say it isn’t fair and i agree i don’t deserve it though i look like a millionaire in my new car that i didn’t pay for like a movie star the ones we all adore i remember the dreaded carwash and the feeling when somebody nicked the paint and the time when the windshield wipers fell off they fell off in the rain as i look back i often question could i ever keep it clean and even with my best intentions you could always find some streaks but not on my new car that i didn’t pay for like a movie star that we adore where did it come from i can’t be sure but this is my car the kind you can’t ignore

something’s gotta give (chapman/dane) it’s not that you said no to me i know that would have been just fine but the fact that you said nothing at all it has made me lose my mind… yeah how could i forget that i might have it made i’m reminded as i watch your taillights fade i’ve got to stop and think just what it means to live something’s gotta give something’s gotta give… yeah years have come and past the test i know you love me deep inside your perfect actions speak your mind the best i didn’t hear you say goodbye… no no no how could i forget that i might have it made i’m reminded as i watch your taillights fade i’ve got to stop and think just what it means to live something’s gotta give something’s gotta give something’s gotta give something’s gotta give how could i forget that i might have it made i’m reminded as i watch your taillights fade i’ve got to stop and think just what it means to live something’s gotta give something’s gotta give something’s gotta give yeah… something’s gotta give your actions never tell a lie i didn’t hear you say goodbye

leaving in mind (davis/chapman) i woke up, open shut, i was running out of time you were bored, broken chord, we were partners in a crime i got the message and i crumbled on a dime that was easy so here you go, don’t you know, wander back and i’ll repent sometimes i wonder where my backbone went we’ll keep it up until the money’s all spent i think it’s easy the past is all behind if you got leaving in mind if you got leaving in mind if there’s something that you can’t find i’d like to know i’m all heart, not smart, i’d be betting on the race i disallow, here and now, your stupid poker face i’m thinking this one winds up in the trophy case you’ve got to feel it but just in case, i’m saving face, if you ever change your mind i’ll be there, i can swear, you should bear in mind i’m gonna be just like your nightmares all combined so let’s not go there we’ve got to work with what we’ve got if you got leaving in mind if you got leaving in mind if there’s something that you can’t find i ought to know because we all can make mistakes sometimes it’s not so great we’ve got to learn to stop appreciating everything we work so hard to make our own, but when they’re ours we’re still alone i’ve got some good news i would like to bring if you got leaving in mind if you got leaving in mind if there’s something that you can’t find i want to know if you got leaving in mind if you got leaving in mind if there’s something that you can’t find if there’s something that you can’t find if there’s something that you can’t find i’d like to know

Lost 03:50
lost (chapman/dane) i’ve got everything i need a pot of gold and a bag of magic beans the curtains call I’ll play my guitar in certain circles they view me as a star but i am lost all alone in this town i am suddenly frightened by the sound of never being found i sing a familiar tune it feels good for a moment or two my song sings a shallow refrain what is wrong with my soul and the way i pray ‘cause i am lost all alone in this town i am suddenly frightened by the sound of never being found someday you will find me again broken down on my knees i’ll be found but until then i am bound to be lost all alone in this town i am constantly frightened by the sound of never being found of never being found i want to be found

hard to believe (shaw/chapman) don’t know why i try to pry these thoughts from inside they’ll be watching you it’s hard to believe the blacker the taste, it satisfies the more it elates, the less we get by they’ll be wanting you so hard to believe it’s hard to believe and in a word, it’s going to cut you down and send you in a spin in a world that will crumble, comes around to set you up again green and spry, i try to pry these thoughts from inside they’ll be watching you but it’s hard to believe so hard to believe it’s hard to believe

No One Knows 03:26
no one knows (chapman/dane) all this time i want to be happy i need to seem happy, but i really don’t care on my mind that’s where you’re hiding i keep hiding, i’m going nowhere everyday i seem a little bit brighter ‘round and ‘round i’ve got to keep moving i need to keep moving, i’m staying in place in my town you’ve got to seem cooler you’ve got to be cool and try to save face everyday i seem a little bit brighter… everyday i’m passed out on sunday in my very best clothes i’ve been found in places where no man should go i’ve got a hole in my heart and i think it shows and if i love Jesus, how come no one knows? you’re my friend but you made me a coward hour by hour i’m sinking so low then again i’ve learned to be stronger how much longer, i really don’t know everyday i seem a little bit brighter… everyday i’m passed out on sunday in my very best clothes i’ve been found in places where no man should go i’ve got a hole in my heart and i think it shows and if i love Jesus, how come no one knows? all this time i want to be happy i need to seem happy, but i really don’t care i’m passed out on sunday in my very best clothes i’ve been found in places where no man should go i’ve got a hole in my heart and i think it shows and if i love Jesus, how come no one knows? how come no one knows? how come no one knows? how come no one knows?

Catch 05:02
catch (chapman/dane) i saw you late friday night (at the underground) voted most likely to be the ride (drive your friends around) you caught my eye wallflowers grow in the darkest light (when they’re on their own) pulled by your roots at closing time (you don’t want to go) you caught my eye tell me something real tonight do you sometimes feel like you’re tied to the tracks? you know the deal, you might never make it back how do you feel if you feel at all? i want you to know i will catch you when you fall we went out for a bit of caffeine (at 3:00am) you shred your napkin up while talking (to me again) you caught my eye tell me something real tonight do you sometimes feel like you’re tied to the tracks? you know the deal, you might never make it back how do you feel if you feel at all? i want you to know i will catch you when you fall i want to catch you i want to catch you when you fall do you sometimes feel like you’re tied to the tracks? you know the deal, you might never make it back how do you feel if you feel at all? i want you to know i will catch you when you fall do you sometimes feel like you’re tied to the tracks? you know the deal, you will not be coming back how do you feel if you feel at all? i want you to know i will catch you when you fall i want to catch you

i believe in you (dylan) they ask me how i feel and if my love is real and how i know i’ll make it through they look at me and frown, they’d like to drive me from this town they don’t want me around ‘cause i believe in you they show me to the door, they say don’t come back no more ‘cause i don’t be like they like me to and i walk out on my own, a thousand miles from home but i don’t feel alone ‘cause i believe in you i believe in you even through the tears and laughter i believe in you even though we be apart i believe in you even on the morning after oh, when the dawn is nearing oh, when the night is disappearing oh, when this feeling’s still here in my heart don’t let me drift too far, keep me where you are where i always be renewed and that which you’ve given me today is worth more than i could pay no matter what they say i believe in you i believe in you when winter turn to summer i believe in you when white turn to black i believe in you even though i feel outnumbered oh, though the earth may shake me oh, though my friends may forsake me oh, even they couldn’t make me go back don’t let me change my heart, keep me set apart from all those plans they will pursue and i, i don’t mind the pain, i don’t mind the driving rain i know i will sustain ‘cause i believe in you i believe in You

the difference (chapman/dane) roll down the windows and hold the wheel let me close my eyes listen to the wind blow, now tell me how you feel i’ll push the pedal while you drive you know how i am this is how i could be do you see the difference? let’s take our shoes off, and the rest go for a walk with me i know it’s raining, maybe the best opportunity to feel we’re free you know how i am this is how i could be do you see the difference? pick up the mattress, pull out the headboard we’re sleeping outside tonight and this my weakness, you know what it’s there for and what can fill me inside you know how i am this is how i could be do you see the difference? it’s not how i began tell me can you see can you see the difference?
