I am a chronic sleepwalker-talker, though not as bad as I used to be.
When I was 12, I went on a youth retreat to Camp Caswell. On the final morning, I woke up in my dorm to see the floor covered with mattresses & pillows. Turns out I had taken a dive from the top bunk the night before (and they wanted to make sure I was protected, if it happened again). Nope. Didn't wake up. But I was mighty sore. It also turns out that my twin brother had seen me almost take a dive the night before. I stood up on my bunk, with pillow in hand, rocking back & forth, eventually slipping back into a relatively safe horizontal position. Kinda wish he had told me that before my aerial ballet the next night.
I don't sleep in top bunks anymore.
lyrics
I see you standing up so high
There's one thing I just don't understand
You say that you have learned to fly
Stand tall, back against the wall
What could happen, who could say?
To & fro, you should know
The floor is such a long way -- down
You might trip
Your heart might skip
Hold tight, make it through the night
Laying down might be wise
Lay it down, stop moving around
I just wanna see your eyes -- closed
You might fall
Now I've seen it all
I see you standing up so high
There's one thing I just don't understand
You say that you have learned to fly
Brother, I think you better learn how to land
You're prepared to take flight
Setting sail into the night
Stand tall, back against the wall
What could happen, who could say?
I see you standing up so high
There's one thing I just don't understand
You say that you have learned to fly
Brother, I think you better learn how to land
