This has been moving week for Jennifer, the kids & me. Under even the best of circumstances, moving is a trying proposition. Luckily, these have been the best of circumstances -- a great new house (with a sweet view of Pilot Mountain) less than a mile & 1/2 away from the old one. We made some amazing memories in the old Main Street house, though. We will miss it terribly.
By the way, the new address is
805 E. Country Club Rd.
Mount Airy, NC 27030
Don't be strangers.
lyrics
Who's ready to head north?
It's not very far, for what it's worth
We landed there and opened up our eyes
We left it all behind
Memories locked in our minds
A home we can't replace, but we'll sure try
You'll love the view from here
And soon the leaves will disappear
And frame the mountain 20 miles down south
We loaded up the truck
We boxed the plates and with any luck
We won't break a thing when we take them out
Jack Daniels on the porch
Jim Beam in the hall
Jose Cuervo holds some more
We did not drink them all
All the shoes are in Grey Goose
Man, we got it made
This is a liquor box serenade
The carport pours down rain
The Beatles over the fireplace
A secret trail from the bedroom to the blue
The wall fell to the floor
We never wanted for anything more
Than a home to live & love and that's the truth
Jack Daniels on the porch
Jim Beam in the hall
Jose Cuervo holds some more
We did not drink them all
All the shoes are in Grey Goose
Man, we got it made
This is a liquor box serenade
I need a new rhyme scheme
Maybe something in between
The light & the dark
A princess & a killer queen
Who's ready to head north?
It's not very far, for what it's worth
We landed there and opened up our eyes
Jack Daniels on the porch
Jim Beam in the hall
Jose Cuervo holds some more
We did not drink them all
All the shoes are in Grey Goose
Man, we got it made
This is a liquor box serenade
