The assignment this week, from Eddie:
"90's Time Machine: An artist/band who was at their peak in the 90's had severe writers block. Through a magical time machine, they brought you back to the 90's to help them write a song for their pinnacle 90's album. In your comments, do not reveal who the artist is. Let it be a guess and see if the group can identify the artist. It's ok if it is obvious. I just think it would be fun to hear everyone's attempt at helping a band/artist they admire (or hate) from the 90's to write a song. Have fun!"
lyrics
Lightning strikes once, then disappears
We keep holding back the years
I can dry your tears, but I can't keep…
Waiting on you to fall in love
-- Waiting on you to fall --
Waiting on you to fall in love
It's too long, you're too gone, you're off to roam
Everybody needs to be alone
I can be your home, but I can't keep…
Waiting on you to fall in love
-- Waiting on you to fall --
Waiting on you to fall in love
There's beauty when you're angry
But I can't wait another day
Let me show you how it can be
We keep holding back the years
I can dry your tears, but I can't keep…
Waiting on you to fall in love
-- Waiting on you to fall --
Waiting on you to fall in love
